Moringa is one of the toughest, most productive plants on earth. We built a system to turn that into reliable income for KZN farmers.

You grow it. We handle the rest — processing, certification, and getting it to international buyers.

Growing the Future of Agriculture

The Shared 'M' Principle

Our partnership is built on a single, clear idea: The Shared 'M'. This symbol represents the inseparable link between our company (Mighty) and your farm (Moringa). We do not believe in one-off trades. We believe that when your trees are healthy and your yields are high, our entire network is stronger. We invest in your farm's vitality because it is the foundation of our shared success.

Frequently asked questions

What is Mighty Moringa?

Mighty Moringa is a KwaZulu-Natal-based organic moringa export platform. We recruit and support selected KZN farmers to grow certified organic moringa leaves, which we process at our facility in Durban and export to international nutraceutical and functional food markets. We provide everything a farmer needs to participate — seedlings, training, organic certification support, and a fixed-price supply contract.

Why moringa? Is this a proven market??

Yes. Moringa leaf is an established ingredient in capsules, functional foods, and herbal teas sold by major buyers across the EU and the US. Demand is not new and it is not slowing down. What the international market has lacked is a consistent, certified supply system at commercial volumes. That is precisely what Mighty Moringa is built to provide — from KwaZulu-Natal.

What does Mighty Moringa provide to farmers?

Registered growers receive a complete package: nursery-supplied seedlings, agronomic training, a Farmer Production Manual, organic certification guidance, and a fixed-price Supply Contract for all their certified organic moringa leaves. Processing is handled at our certified facility in Durban. You focus on growing. We handle everything else.

Do I need experience growing moringa?

No prior moringa experience is required. Mighty Moringa provides full training and a production manual tailored specifically for KZN coastal conditions. Moringa is also one of the most forgiving crops you can grow in this region — drought-resistant, low-input, and productive across multiple harvests per year.

I am not organically certified. Can I still join?

No. Organic certification support is built into the onboarding process from day one, But, because the September 2026 planting cycle starts soon, farmers with experience in organic certification and with "virgin" land are required for this phase of the project.

What price will I receive for my moringa?

The buyer price is fixed in your Supply Contract before you plant. You know your price before a single seed goes in the ground. Full commercial terms are shared with farmers who register interest. Contact us or register below to receive the details.

How much land do I need?

You can start with a single hectare. Phase 1 covers a coordinated planting across participating farms, with Phase 2 expanding capacity for proven producers. If you want to discuss what is right for your farm before committing, a farm conversation with our team is the right starting point.

Is moringa a good fit for KZN conditions?

KwaZulu-Natal's subtropical coastal plain is one of the best moringa-growing environments in Southern Africa. Moringa is drought-resistant, grows on poor soils, and delivers five to eight harvests per year under good management. The one condition it does not tolerate is frost — which the KZN coastal zone largely avoids.

Who is behind Mighty Moringa?

Mighty Moringa is led by a team with deep experience in agricultural market development, agri-processing, and export supply chains across Sub-Saharan Africa. The team includes specialists from Economic Sense — operating in Malawi and Ireland — with over 20 years of experience in systems development, business feasibility, and export promotion. Full team profiles are available on our About page.

When do I need to decide? What are the deadlines?

The September 2026 planting cycle is fixed, and nursery seedling production begins Winter 2026. Phase 1 positions are limited. If you want to participate in the first coordinated cycle — with first commercial export targeted for February 2027 — registering your interest now is the right first step. There is no commitment at that stage; it simply opens the conversation.

How do I get started?

Register your interest using the contact form on this page. Tell us your name, farm location, approximate land available, and the best way to reach you. A member of the Mighty Moringa team will be in touch to discuss whether the programme is the right fit for your farm.

The Moringa Network is a network of frontrunners in West and Southern Africa who are partnering to grow the moringa market by supplying reliable quality and quantities of product. We conduct production trials to test growing techniques, exchange on technology for safer harvest and on processing techniques and equipment. And in systems where small holder famers are the norm, we are working to improve production techniques and post harvest handling for a better end product.

Our founders and members consist of technical experts, growers and processing enterprises, importers and exporters as well as food safety specialists making the product that much safer.
